Equitable care comes from a healing justice and economic justice framework. I work and hold values aligned with these frameworks with the aim to close the gap in service(s) that exist in mental health therapy. The idea is that those who can pay more help subsidize the spots for those who cannot. This also aims to honor both client's access needs and therapist sustainability.
As of July 1, 2026 there is currently only 1 available reduced rate slot opening at the supporter rate.
Some guidelines in choosing the rate that feels right to you.
Community Rate - ($30+) - (I frequently stress about basic needs. I have debt that prohibits me from meeting basic needs. I have limited access to transportation. I am unemployed. I qualify for government assistance (eligible regarding income), have food stamps, etc).
Standard Rate ($75+) - (I may stress about meeting may basic needs but still regularly achieve them. I may have debt, but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs.)
Supporter Rate ($100+) - (I am comfortable and able to meet all of my basic needs (i.e. food, housing, transportation). I am able to treat myself to buy coffee/tea at a cafe, go to concerts. buy new clothes, etc.)
I move through this process with a trust-based approach with no questions asked regarding the selected rate.
