My groups are grounded in Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT), which centers the belief that healing and growth happen through authentic, mutual connection. In group, we focus on building what RCT calls “growth-fostering relationships” — relationships rooted in respect, honesty, and shared humanity.
Each group includes a blend of psychoeducation and process-oriented work. The psychoeducation component offers accessible language and tools to understand relational patterns — including how we move toward connection and how we protect ourselves through strategies of disconnection.
The process-oriented portion means we don’t just talk about relationships — we practice them. Together, we build insight into our protective strategies, such as withdrawing, people-pleasing, conflict avoidance, or over-functioning. Rather than judging these strategies, we approach them with curiosity and compassion, understanding that they developed for a reason.
Group becomes a space to gently experiment with new ways of relating, experience being seen and heard, and strengthen our capacity for connection in real time.
